About the Opportunity

The Richmond Fellowship of New South Wales has an exciting opportunity for Full/Part time Community Mental Health Support Workers to join its energetic team in Dubbo, NSW.  Day, afternoon and night shifts may be available.

Your role will focus on supporting people with psychiatric disabilities and mental health problems living in their own homes and in a group residential setting. Through skill development, community access, community participation, and promoting opportunities for people with disabilities, you will enhance opportunities for independent living. The care and support you will provide are tailored to meet the varied needs of the individual.

These positions are for a fixed-term period to October 2010.

Ideally you will have previous experience and/or qualifications in the areas of Community Work, Mental Health and/or Welfare, however if not, you will have a genuine interest in working within the mental health sector.

It is also essential that applicants possess a current NSW Driver's Licence and have the right to work in Australia.

Importantly, you will be a caring and understanding individual, with strong communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work in challenging situations. An enthusiasm for the industry, and a genuine desire to help others and improve the community, is essential!
