The Alex Fraser Group is engaged in four strategic activities: construction and demolition materials recycling, specialist industrial demolition; environmental remediation services; and asphalt production and paving. We operate four production facilities in Melbourne, three in Brisbane and employ around 200 people. We have offices in Laverton North in Melbourne and Eagle Farm in Brisbane.

Alex Fraser Group has a great opportunity for a Graduate Health & Safety Officer to join their Eagle Farm team.
This is a great place to start your career in occupational health and safety. You will report to the Projects Manager of Queensland Recycling and work closely with site managers to ensure real improvements are made to the daily task safety of workers. You will provide straightforward hazard identification and risk assessment that has a bias for local corrective action and encourages the development of safe work methods by frontline workers.
You will also play an important part in the maintenance and evolution of an AS4801 safety system, collaborate with two HSSE Coordinators in other group businesses, and benefit from networking opportunities with HSE professionals in our sister-companies in the Swire Group.
Qualifications in occupational health and safety and a current driver's license are essential. Workplace training & assessment qualifications are preferable but not essential. You must have a good understanding of health & safety legislation and regulations, well developed relationship management skills and be prepared to get out and about on dusty, noisy sites.
