About the Opportunity
Due to growth Plantation Homes is seeking an experienced Residential Construction Estimator to join its Springwood team.
Reporting to the Estimating Manager, the main aim of the role is to assist the production estimating team to maintain efficient workflow of the business, by proactively producing accurate orders in a timely manner. You may also assist with pricing and workflow of new contracts and post contract variations.
The range of day-to-day duties involved in this position include:
- Creating accurate cost estimates for New Home Orders, Post contract Variations, Building Variations and/or Production Estimates in a timely manner;
- Completing any estimating projects relating to Bill of Quantities and/or Spec Projects if and as required;
- Maintaining effective relationships with Suppliers with a view to ensuring speedy delivery of goods and materials;
- Effectively liaising with internal and external customers to maximise positive results;
- Actively participating in the Performance Review process;
- Attending work-flow and team meetings as required; and
- Observing OH&S requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have completed an Apprenticeship in Carpentry/Joinery or have a Diploma in Building, have a minimum of 2-3 years residential production or sales estimating and experience with Microsoft programs.
Plantation Homes is looking for a pro-active team player with a flexible attitude to handle changing priorities, deadlines and directions, as well as the ability to prioritise tasks and time-manage effectively. With strong communication skills and attention to detail you will have the ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
As a reward for your hard work and dedication to the job, you will receive an attractive salary of between $55,000 - $70,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications), plus opportunities for overtime, as well as numerous attractive benefits which are available after a qualifying period.
