About the Opportunity
G3 Consulting Ltd. is seeking a motivated, experienced Senior Ecologist/Limnologist to join their Surrey team on a full-time basis.
This varied and challenging position will entail both scientific and administrative activities, including travel, business development, report and proposal writing and field work as necessary.
More specifically the role will include:
- Generating revenue through demonstrating 70% billable workload
- Data gathering and field work
- Publishing and presenting at conferences
- Spearheading and overseeing large projects
- Contributing to proposal development and report writing
The successful candidate will be a registered professional (e.g., R.P.Bio.) and have a strong background in marine and freshwater aquatic benthic ecology and environmental chemistry, with experience in applied statistics and the use of various indices and weight of evidence analysis.
Importantly, you will have a senior level, Masters Degree in aquatic ecology, either marine (salt water) or fresh water.
To be considered for this role, you must have real background experience in collecting data accurately, in order to ensure the credibility of scientific outcomes. Precision, attention to detail, commitment to following detailed processes and steps as well as expert planning are critical to your success in this position.
The ability to write scientific reports, analyse complex data sets and defend finished work to clients, the government and academics is essential.
You will be a consummate communicator, as you are easily able to interpret and translate science-speak into benefits that businesses, legal professionals, government officials and the public can easily understand.

Fluency in Spanish (reading/writing) and/or French (reading/writing) is essential.
