About the Opportunity
As one of Newcastle's most respected law firms, Turnbull Hill Lawyers is seeking an exceptional Equity & Estates Lawyer who shares their passion and commitment, to join their Charlestown team.
Working directly with a Partner and working within the Contested Estates department, this role will see you providing advice and addressing client needs, while representing them in a professional and efficient manner. The aim is to achieve the best possible outcome for both the client and the firm.
More specifically, some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Establishing positive client relationships and ensuring all of their legal needs are met by the firm;
- Engaging in appropriate legal research, and critically analysing any legal issues and other implications;
- Preparing accurate legal documents, ensuring relevant parties are identified and any issues are addressed;
- Introducing new clients to the firm while generating new work from existing clients; and
- Determining and using the most appropriate dispute resolution strategies to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
Turnbull Hill Lawyers is the region's leading mid-tier law firm, and as such requires the successful candidate to possess experience in a range of areas, including:
- Equity & estate litigation
- Wills, probate and estates administration
- Drafting affidavits and other court documents
- Family provision applications
The position calls for a confident, top level lawyer with the ability to provide concise and quality advice to clients. You will also be admitted to practice as a Lawyer in NSW with 2-3 years PAE. Excellent time management skills are a must, combined with outstanding communication skills.
