Temporary Appointment - Project Accountant

About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a temporary appointment for a Project Accountant who will be accountable to the Director of the Corporate Services Programme. Reporting to the Team Leader Finance, the officer will be responsible for managing finances for projects undertaken either through the Forum Secretariat’s financial systems or through those of the funding provider. Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Project financial services
  • Oversight of Project Finances
  • Financial and activity reporting

Applicants should have a first degree in Finance or Accounting and certified membership with a recognised professional accounting association. Applicants should also have experience in accounting for donor funded projects and have sound knowledge of donor financial and procurement policies, procedures and standards. Should have the ability to work well with a small team of professional staff and strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity to the diverse needs of those in a multi-cultural environment.

 About the Benefits
